Both are daily events and both are speed events, although one, with a $3 buy-in, has rebuy whereas the other, with a $9 buy-in, does not. Players can even win their way into the $3 sub qualifier speed rebuy event via freeroll WPT Five Diamond Freeroll tournaments, also running daily. The highest 25 finishers at each freeroll will advance to the next stage of the series.

Winners are responsible for their own transportation to the Czech Republic for the event and are affirming by playing in these satellites and qualifiers that they will be able to attend if they do win a prize package. Prize packages are non-transferrable and non-refundable for any cash value.

PartyPoker Announces the Pokerfest

Last Updated on

Party PokerWhile the PokerStars’ World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) is now over, the online poker world now shifts back to their normal daily grinds of playing which games and or tournaments that they would typically play.  The next poker tournament series on the schedule would typically be the Full Tilt Poker Online Poker Series (FTOPS), but with the fallout of Full Tilt, that event will be no more.  This is where PartyPoker has decided to come into play, and has decided to start its own online poker series, called Pokerfest; which will kick off at the end of October.

Pokerfest is an event that will feature 47 events, and give away over $3 million in guarantees.  It will run from the 23rd of October, all the way through the 6th of November.  The Pokerfest has decided to go a different route than just offering huge events, as there will typically be three events each day; with the buy-ins offered appealing to multiple different levels of players.  The first events will feature buy-ins based around Party Points (the loyalty program on PartyPoker), the other events will be between $6 and $33 for mid stakes players, and then the high stakes tournaments will be between $55 and $1,060 to enter.

There will be multiple different satellites offered into the events that have buy-in’s larger than $55, and these satellites will start as low as $1.  Some of the events that caught our eye right off the bat are Event #1, a $215 NLH $300k guarantee, Event #23, a $215 NLH $350k guarantee, Event #46, a $33 $50k guarantee, and Event #47, a $640, NLH Championship Event with $1 million guaranteed in the prize pool.

There will also be leaderboards which will pay out prizes for how well you do during the events, with a $500 first place prize going to the low buy-in events, a $2,500 prize going to the mid sized buy-in events, and a $5,000 prize going to the higher buy-in event winner.  To top that off, PartyPoker has decided to give $20k to the person who is able to win three Pokerfest events, $10k to the person who final tables 10 events, and $5k to the person who cashes ten times throughout all of the events.  There will also be random giveaways for iPads, different chip sets, and also different merchandise and prizes from PartyPoker.

Party Poker Brings Back $5,000 Bankroll Booster

Last Updated on

The Party Poker $5,000 Bankroll Booster has returned. In this popular promotion, PartyPoker hosts a special weekly tournament with a $5,000 guaranteed prize pool and no direct cash or points buy-in. Instead there are a handful of other ways you can enter this tournament week after week.

While there is no cash buy-in for the $5,000 Bankroll Booster, which is held each Sunday at 14:30 ET, cash deposits can land you tickets into the event, whether you’re a new or existing member.

New players who made their first deposit of any amount into a real money Party Poker account gain access to daily qualifier tournaments for a whole month. The top 50 finishers in each of these tournaments win tickets into the following Sunday’s event.

Existing players can win tickets directly into the Bankroll Booster by making a deposit into their real money PartyPoker account without having to excel in any qualifier tournaments first. These players need only remember to use the bonus code: BOOSTER when making their reload deposit to be credited their ticket into the following Sunday’s event.

Likewise, while there is no points buy-in for the Bankroll Booster there are two other ways that you can earn or win tickets into the event by using points. You can either earn 60 points over the course of the week prior to any given Sunday’s event and automatically earn a ticket into that event. Or you can enter a qualifier tournament for just 1 point and if you’re one of the top 25 finishers you’ll win a ticket into the event.

Party Poker Hits The Accelerator for $67,000 in Cash & Prizes

Last Updated on

Party Poker has launched a new points race promotion for the month of September, 2011, and like other similar races of past PartyPoker promotions, in this one players are racing only themselves and the clock. In the Party Poker Accelerator race, like their previous Snowball promotion, players try to earn as many PartyPoker Points as they possibly can in the time allowed — in this case the one month period between September 1 and 30. The more points a player can accumulate, not only the bigger the prizes in store, but the more prizes also — as every prize a player earns the player gets to keep, even as they advance up the tiers toward ever-increasing rewards.

The prizes start out with freeroll entries, worth $2,000 for 5 PartyPoker Points, $5,000 for 25 PartyPoker Points, $10,000 for 50 PartyPoker Points, $15,000 for 100 PartyPoker Points and $25,000 for 200 PartyPoker Points. Then, with entries to all $57,000 in freerolls, players start to earn cash, climbing from $3 for 300 PartyPoker Points all the way to $10,000 for 75,000 PartyPoker Points.

Players will be awarded each of the prizes they earn in succession as soon as they reach the set number of points to release each one. After one minute before midnight on September 30, the Accelerator promotion ends and the Accelerator freerolls begin, taking place one per day starting with the $2K event and ending with the $25K event between October 3 and 7, each at 2:30 pm ET.

Remember: you must opt-in to the Accelerator promotion at the Party Poker website or the “My Accounts” section of their PartyPoker lobby before the points you earn in September will start being applied toward earning you prizes.
