This was apparently alleged on grounds that some online gambling operators are falsely coding transactions as non-gambling activities. Of course the major poker sites did not want any linking to these operations and PokerStars was one to give a fast response.
“PokerStars does not, nor ever has engaged in the practices of mis-coded credit card transactions," they stated. "We have therefore been unaffected by any crackdown by Visa or MasterCard to close down such mis-coded processing accounts."

He said that he has to withdraw from the PartyPoker Premier League and various other upcoming events. "My gut feeling is just chill out until the WSOP and try to have a big series," Doyle wrote on his blog on Doyle's Room.
The word is that Doyle Brunson is going under a dental surgery that requires several changes in his schedule. Feb 06, 2010 - 1:23 PM - by TomasJ | The Borgata Poker Open was taken down by great poker player, Full Tilt Poker Pro, Jeff Madsen last week. He banked a total of $625,006 for his efforts. At heads-up Madsen beat Sirous Jamshidi.
Jamshidi said he was happy with his second place finish but said he was totally card-dead by the time heads-up play began. In the final hand Jamshidi pushed the money in with Q2s and found himself against Madsen's KT. The board paired up Madsen's King to give him the victory.

Some players have commented saying that this is good because nobody really wanted the WSOP to take place at the Rio in the first place. The Rio can fit all the players for an event like the WSOP but that is pretty much one of the few things giving it a plus.
