Carbon Poker $30K Last Man Standing Promotion

As of Sunday, September 8, Carbon Poker will be holding its next Last Man Standing promotion, this time for a guaranteed prize pool of more than $30,000.

This latest installment of Carbon Poker’s Last Man Standing promo spans 53 days during which players will compete for $27K in cash prizes, and entry into a $5K freeroll tournament.

Simply opt-in to the Last Man Standing promo at Carbon Poker and then get back to playing the site’s real money poker cash games and tournaments. During the promotional period, the VIP points that you earn at these games will be tracked. And every day of the promotion, Carbon Poker has set a new VIP Target that players must reach in order to move on in the competition. Players are allowed 3 days off of the promotion, but no more, and will be eliminated if they take a fourth day off. Also, as of October 22, players cannot take any days off of the promotion, even if they have not used all their free days yet.

The daily VIP Targets start at 50 points and work their way up to 3,500 points on October 22, and then to 25,000 points on the final date of the promotion, October 30.

The last 100 players remaining in the competition will share the $27K cash prize pool. Additionally, all players who make it to October 22 with at least 1 of their free days (or days off) remaining, earns a cash reward:
1 day remaining – get $25
2 days remaining – get $50
all 3 days remaining – get $100

Americas Cardroom Hosts $500K Mini Online Super Series II

The second annual installment of the Mini Online Super Series is coming up at America’s Cardroom and this time it’s worth $500,000 guaranteed. The mOSS II, as it’s called for short, runs from Friday, February 15th (the day after Valentine’s Day) through Sunday, February 24th. That’s one week and two weekends packed full of high-stakes Texas Hold’em and Omaha action.

America’s Cardroom’s mOSS II is comprised of over 100 poker events: 90 Texas Hold’em tournaments and 10 Omaha tournaments. Prize pools vary from $300 to $100K. Buy-ins, meanwhile, range from only $2 to $100. And of course, there are those satellites into the Main Event that we brought you word of in our previous post.

Every day of the series there are events at 10:00am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:00pm, 5:30pm, 6:00pm, 7:30pm, 9:30pm and 10:00pm.

Some of the mOSS II series highlights include Event 28, a $75,000 GTD event for a $100 + $9 buy-in starting at 7:30 pm on Sunday, February 17th. Event 88, meanwhile, is a $30,000 GTD event with a $50 + $5 buy-in starting at 7:30 pm on Saturday, February 23rd. Pot Limit Omaha prize pools range from $500 to $3,000. The series also includes deep stack events, turbo events, rebuy and add-on events, and hi/lo events.

The mOSS II Main Event takes place Sunday, February 24 at 7:30 pm for a $100 + $9 buy-in and a $100K prize pool. And it’s not even the final event of the series, with two more events taking place that night after it.
