Event #56 of the 2010 World Series of Poker is a No Limit Holdem Event. The buyin for this event is $2,500. This is also the last bracelet event before the Main Event. This event fielded 1,942 players. The prize pool is $4,466,600. The best 198 players will be paid. Minimum cashers can pocket $5,044. The eventual winner will skip out with $825,976. Pretty high numbers for a $2,500 buyin event.

The field played down to 502 players before day 1 ended. That number seems higher than the last few No Limit Holdem events. I am thinking the 7,500 chip starting stacks coupled with the last chance of grabbing a non-main event bracelet may have created an abundance of caution. I do not think I will try name dropping until the field gets thinned after day 2.
