Event #51 of the 2010 World Series of Poker is a Triple Chance No-Limit Hold’em event. Its not really a rebuy yet you get three buyins somehow and everyone eventually gets 9,000 chips and pays the $3,000 buyin. This was instituted instead of rebuy events. A brave 965 players put down the money for this event creating a prizepool of $2,663,400. The top 90 players will cash in this event. Prizes range from the lowly $5,992 to the lofty $559,371 and a bracelet.
The extra chips helped, but only to a degree. the first day played down to 189 players left to resume action on day 2. Tommy Vedes has the chip lead with 237,000 chips to end the day. 189 is still a boatload of players so i did not delve too deep in search of name recognition. I will hand out names of note that make it through day 2 if there are any.
