2010 WSOP Event #50 info

Event #50 of the 2010 World Series of Poker is the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event. A total of 460 players are vying for this bracelet. The $2,162,000 prize pool will go to the top 45 players remaining. The 45th player gets $10,226. The bracelet winner will take down $508,090.

As one would expect of a $5,000 buyin event, many name pros are attracted to this game. With a 15,000 chip starting stack, only a little over half the field busted on the first day of play. With 207 players returning for action on day 2, expect the name dropping to be heavy. Kevin Shaffel was the chip leader when the day ended. Scotty Nguyen sits in seventh while Annette Obrestad holds down eighth. The whole field reads like a who's who in the poker world with the exception of Daniel Negreanu who tweeted that he busted fairly quickly in the event.

This event played down to the final 31 yesterday. Big buyin means big names of course and we got us some of those. Robert Mizrachi has the chip lead. Jason Mercier is hovering around the middle of the pack.
