Event #44 of the 2010 World Series of Poker is a Mixed Hold'em (Limit/No-Limit) event. This $2,500 buyin event attracted 507 players. The prizepool of $1,166,100 will be distributed to the final 54 players. The winner's share of the take is $268,238. The lowest payout being $4,512.

After only one day of play 70 players remain. Obviously the limit element of this event has slowed down the donking off of chips. Full Tilt Poker pro Eli Elezra leads the field with 181,000 chips heading into day two. Gavin Smith, Erica Schoenberg, Jeff Shulman and Doyles Room Brunson 10 member Dani Stern return to battle it out with Eli.

This event played down to the final 9 before play stopped. Dwyte Pilgrim and Gavin Smith are still in the bracelet hunt. Gavin is currently 2nd in chips, but only 3k chips behind South african Jarred Solomon
