Event #42 of the 2010 World Series of Poker is a No-Limit Holdem tournament with a $1,500 buyin. A hefty field of 2,521 players sat down to battle for the coveted bracelet and the $3,403,305 prize pool. Said prize pool will be distributed unequally to the top 270 players in this event. The lowest payout will be $2,756. The winner of this event can look forward to a $604,222 payday.

The first day of this event saw huge masses of people exit the card rooms. When the flying chips settled 278 players remained to do battle on the second day. As the chip count list is woefully incomplete due to the sheer volume of bagged chips to report, we will refrain from commenting on specific players until the end of day 2.
