2010 WSOP Event #35 info

Event #35 of the 2010 World Series of Poker is the Heads Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship. because this event is Heads Up in nature, this event has a 256 player cap on it. With a $10,000 buyin, there might have been a question of whether they could fill that cap. But with the increased popularity of Heads Up play the event started with a complete field.

Everyone played two matches on the first day and the field is now 64 players. The $2,406,400 prizepool will go to the top 32 players. The lowest payout is $17,987. The winner bags $625,682. Because of the nature of this event, there is no need for chip counts. You either make it through or you do not. That also means there is no "chip leader". Phil Ivey has survived through to day 2 while playing at least two other events. Phil Gordon also returns to battle on Day 2. Actually, the list is studded with big names. Just keep winning and you can't lose!

This event played down to the final eight before halting. The biggest names left are Vanessa Rousso of PokerStars and Faraz "the toilet" Jaka. Jaka is in the running for a seat on the Brunson 10 at Doyles Room so a good finish here would be doubly pleasing.
