Event #29 of the 2010 World Series of Poker is the Limit Hold'em World Championship. A $10,000 buyin event, the World Championship will feature min raising and min check raising. The high buyin saw only 171 players grace this field. Only the top 18 will get any piece of the $1,607,400 prize pool. The least fortunate of the fortunate few will get $22,809 for their troubles. the bracelet winner will grab $425,969 as well as a nice conversation piece.
The field of 171 players were hard pressed to get rid of their chips but 64 people managed to exit before the start of Day 2. The returning 107 are just about set for another action packed day of Limit Holdem. Seven Card stud specialist Jeffrey Lisandro leads the field into Day 2 with a slim lead in chips. Shaun Deeb, presumably in more flattering attire, has a decent stack as well. Todd Brunson, Doyles boy, may be finally gaining some traction after lamenting his misfortune in the WSOP so far. Maria Ho returns for Day 2 as well.
