2010 WSOP Event #25 info

Event #25 of the 2010 World Series of Poker is the Pot Limit Omaha High/Low8 split World Championship. Being a world championship, this event sports a $10,000 buyin. This buyin prices out the casual player and creates a nice star-studded field. Event #25 attracted 212 hopefuls. With the big buyin, this created a prize pool of $1,992,800. Because many pots are split pots, and the stacks are 30,000 chips to start there are 154 players remaining to be seated on Day 2.

David Benyamine and Sammy Farha sit in the top 5 in chips. Ultimate Bet pro and bracelet collector Phil Hellmuth, not known for his omaha play, is 11th after a day of play. A favorite of Holdem Poker Chat and Full Tilt Poker pro Perry Friedman is currently 17th. Well you get the picture. Lots of big names playing Day 2. we shall see how many remain after the dust settles tonight/Monday morning.

With 23 players remaining the money bubble has burst in this event. The top 27 were being paid. The lowest casher walks off with $17,138, but the eventual winner is in for a $488,241 payday along with a lot of photos, a presentation the following day and a new title "WSOP Bracelet Winner"

Sammy Farha holds off the British invasion and gets the bracelet by beating James Dempsey heads up. Sammy gets $488,241 and a pretty gold bracelet for his troubles
