2010 WSOP Event #18 info

Event #18 of the 2010 World Series of Poker is a Limit Holdem event. This $2,000 buyin event attracted 476 players. The $866,320 prize pool will be distributed to the top 45 players. The lowest payout will be $4,097 while the winner banks $203,607.

Being limit holdem and all, one would assume less people being knocked out in day one. One would not be entirely correct, as only 144 players remain after the first day of play. Most of the players I see at the top of the leaderboard are second tier pros. Profitable, but without the television exposure of the elites. I do see Jeff Shulman at 29th. Maria Ho at 39th, with her amazing race partner and french fry eating menace Jennifer Tilly at 50th.

And then there were 10 in this Limit Hold'em affair. Chip leader Eric Buchman looks to run away with his chip lead, possibly bully the table (can you do that in limit) to secure the bracelet. $200k+ would be nice for all of these players, as would that coveted bracelet. Personally, I don't think 200k would be worth playing Limit Hold'Em for this long...
