Full Tilt Poker 2010 WSOP Fantasy Poker

Full Tilt Poker is once again offering their WSOP Fantasy Poker free of charge.

Get in on the action of the 2010 World Series of Poker by participating in Full Tilt Poker’s Fantasy WSOP competition. Create a team of your favorite poker pros and win prizes based on how your team performs at this year’s Series, including a free seat at the 2011 Main Event!

Create the perfect fantasy poker team

The 2010 World Series of Poker kicks off on May 28th. If you can’t make it to Vegas, fantasy poker is the perfect way to join the action. Create your 15-player team from a roster of more than 300 top-tier professionals, and then guide your team to victory throughout the Series.

How to Play

1. Open the Full Tilt Poker game software.
2. Click on the red Cashier button in the game lobby.
3. Click on the My Promotions button in the Cashier.
4. Click on the Fantasy WSOP link; this will take you to your personal Fantasy WSOP webpage. Follow the instructions on this page to create your fantasy team.

Once your team is set, follow your players throughout the Series and see if you’ve won any prizes, including a free seat at the 2011 Main Event. You can also check out how your team stacks up against the pros’ picks – go to the VIP section to compare your picks with those of Team Full Tilt and other Full Tilt Poker pros.

We have created a group called HoldemPokerChat. the password is F0nz12LK.

We're adding the following prizes for anyone competing in our group.
1st - $30, 2nd - $20, 3rd - $10. - These are for overall finishes, not per event.

For clarification's sake in the password, that's a zero, not a capital "o". I just got too fancy setting it up...

ok, I have my first team in, but I'm having a very hard time with the rest of the events. I found some good historical data on post boom winners and I may use that as my guide.

Best places to go IMHO for past results, strengths and trends in WSOP are either 1) Hendon Mob database, rankings subtab (WSOP events results even broken down by game type); or 2) WSOP website, players (like look at last year's cashers list, then click a player to get his history on what he done good at ever). OK, no more Sham secrets for y'all; gotta win the dough...

Okay, I'm in. I've got my dad and Jay joining it too.
I also looked at WSOP website for assistance in picking. Mostly I go by gut instinct, which has never helped in the past. lol

Good luck all.

When in doubt about the password for the group, copy and paste. ;)

Don't know if I should just add to this thread, or start a new thread for each event. Decided on here for now, until I'm told otherwise (personally think individual event threads are best).

My picks for Event 2 (Event 1 being Casino Employees isn't part of the contest), with the caveat that I can still make changes until the event begins:

Event #2 ($50,000) The Poker Player's Championship (5 day)
Pick Deadline: 08:00 PM ET on Friday, May. 28, 2010

Position Player

A Player Phil Ivey
A Player Huckleberry Seed
A Player Vitaly Lunkin
A Player David Chiu
A Player Justin "Boosted J" Smith

B Player Doyle Brunson
B Player Todd Brunson
B Player Michael Binger
B Player Eli Elezra
B Player Chau Giang

C Player Matt Glantz
C Player Tom Schneider
C Player Erik Seidel
C Player Alexander Kravchenko
C Player Eric Froehlich

I joined the hpc group and made picks for the 50k event#2. I think it's important to go against the consensus in order to get lucky and become the overall standings champion, not just of this hpc group, but for the overall prizes I would love some inside info like some of my selections for event #2 might not even be playing in it. How do we know who is playing? For example, I picked Mike Demichele who I remember in the horse game in 2008 with the drunken Scotty Nguyen. DeMichele is on the list this year, but I haven't heard about him since 08 and if he isn't even playing this year's event then my chances go downhill. Is there a list of registrants on wsop.com or somewhere that we can look at before the deadline on fulltilt to submit our fantasy teams?

Gl in any miniseries of poker events you play at fulltilt. MSOP#1 begins in 20 minutes for 5 bucks.

edit - also it looks like it's possible to join more than one group. I joined the fulltilt poker forums official thing because I got an email from fulltilt about it. Is that cool or will I be ineligible from any bonus prize I may win?
