The freerolls drive traffic to the site too, with hopefully some of that traffic staying and becoming participating members. The thieves are a pain, but the bump in potential active members is worth that aggrevation...in most cases

for the buyin trny i would say FTP since u can play small buyin private games there n pokerstars u have to play 5.50 buyin ones

I really dislike the freerolls, small buy ins of a dollar or two would be better.

The thing is freerolls do 2 things, 1st they create a buzz, and 2nd, they offer players a chance to win their buyin.

For the first marathon we had 8 buyins and 16 freerolls, the next one will be 12 and 12 and if we continue to get good turnouts, we'll add more buyins.

I liked it this way. Not everybody has got money on every pokerroom, so if you cash in the freeroll you can play the buyin too.
