Depends on the player - Unless this player is SUCH a tight/timid player, that he wouldn't just bet the turn with his nut 4 flush (and try to take down the pot right there)

Can't say AQ, cause I would think he'd want to protect against the potential flush draw that showed.

Js would likely also bet the turn as I think AT.

Leaves me wtih a Non suited AK (maybe with As). 9s or 8s and in the UNLIKELY section 2s.

Again, your knowledge of previous plays by this person would count a lot.

Okay, I'm a rebel. I called.

My reasoning: First of all, I had little read on this guy. I was playing the general feel of the hand. Him checking the flop meant one of three things to me: AK, AQ, or AT. He either missed, hit big, or hit small. The call of the turn ruled out AQ, because he should raise and get what he got out of me. He can call with AK for 2 reasons: he puts me on a steal (easy enough to do) or plan to steal himself on the river. He can call with AT because he thinks I hit the 7 or am just generally weak. I ruled out a flush because I pegged him as a decent, solid player, and I don't see him calling 3-1 on a flush draw. So, he either has AT or AK in my eyes, leaving me no reason to bet on the river 2. When he leads out for $40, AT goes out the window. He has no reason to beat a T there, most players will only call if they can beat it. The only hand left I can put him on with every play of his is AK.

I'm not saying this was an easy call. Hell, I'm not even saying its a SMART call. I just posted this hand to illustrate one thing: thinking about situations and following your read. I did not see any other hand he could have played THAT way. I guess 77 is a possibility, but, with me having one 7, I do not think it is likely.

I find conectors can get me into trouble often. I would have called to see flop and then would have folded on next turn. I would have to watch the other payers for a while to get a good read in order to give a guess as to what they had.

well i think that he could have checked the flop with a monster. either a set or top two. or maybe even just a 10 and checked to see a turn. or even hit the flush draw and then hit on the river. easy fold for me here.
