Online Poker Cage Match!

Well, Well! I guess Pokerstars did not like Full Tilt trying to usurp their record. In a serious online poker bitch slap, Pokerstars says nay to the Record attempt. As I write this, a $1,000 freeroll with only a $30 prize for 1st place is running at Pokerstars.

The tournament closed with 61,259 players with a maximum set at 65,000. Remember...$30 for 1st place people. To me that is Pokerstars dropping their pants and mooning the hell out of Full Tilt. "Look at our little $1,000 investment whipping the ass off your $250k added tournament! Now run along back to the second tier before we decide to run a real tournament and humiliate you even more"

When reached for reaction to these developments, my monkey avatar on Full Tilt changed from happy to angry (as far as you know).

It will be interesting to see how long that red hand print stays on Full Tilt's cheek. Will they slink off properly punished, or will they come back hard with a right cross? Do they have a right cross to pull? Or is Pokerstars waiting for the cross with a fully cocked uppercut?

I am furiously popping popcorn and getting my seat ready for this one

A small timeline of the Pokerstars $1k freerolls:

1pm: 40k max, maxed out
2pm: 50k max 40,009 players
3pm: 55k max, 53,964 players
4pm: 60k max, 57,700 players
5pm: 65k max, 61,259 players

And on the sixth hour Pokerstars ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

What a farce, talk about bingo play, wow. I played a couple of these yesterday and they were incredulously difficult. People were either allin or calling everything with nothing and hitting on the board. Agree, the final table money much too low to attract a really big field. Also, ridiculous that they had late registration for 45 minutes into each game. I'm sure that's one of the reasons why many went allin and then re-registered for the same game. Like I said, a farce!!!
