UB Bad Beat Jackpot

Today, at 10:51p.m. EST, one of the largest bad beat jackpots in online poker history has been hit.

Shortly after the bad beat jackpot at UB crested the $1,000,000 mark, player Odessa99 lost the big hand that would pay hundreds of thousands of dollars. While losing a hand is usually rough (especially if you have quad 8s or better!) it makes it bearable when you get compensation in the form of $340,875.15.

While the stakes and exact hand are not made known to us yet at HPC, we will make sure to get them to you ASAP.

so when UB cheats you out of your bankroll, at least you can have a shot at a bad beat jackpot.

Has anyone else been following the latest revelations over at UB thanks to the evidence being brought forward by Travis Makar (although his motives are somewhat murky)

Russ Hamilton was just the tip of the iceberg over there. We may never know the full extent of the cheating at UB becuase of the hush money they are STILL paying to silence those in the know.

UB Badbeats got the same rules as Party Poker Bad Beats.
Pretty fun 2 days ago someone won the jackpot there.

I think Party Poker has never been caught cheating their users, so the rules there are significantly different from UB where emails have come forward implicating the current ownership in the cheating scandals, at least by bribing witnesses to stay silent.

It was also amusing to watch the BBJ at UB/AP reach such great heights at just the time when there were some significant breaks in the case for the first time in a couple of years.

Although I have a small roll there, I would definitely hesitate at recommending these 2 sites to friends as they are a black mark on the industry, especially now that the new ownership has been tied to the cheating scandal, or at least an illegal cover up of it. I am also "cereusly" considering getting all my money out of there and never playing there again. I know for sure I will never deposit there in the future.

2+2 has several ongoing threads on this as does donk down. donk down had a huge breakthrough on this when one of the supposed principals in the cheating Travis Makar came forward with evidence in an attempt to clear his name (or maybe just to try and get in on the massive cereus hush money payoffs) and he has been providing hard evidence in the form of emails etc to donk down.

THis goes all the way to the top of Cereus as the COO was in contact with a whistleblower and arranged to meet with him to pay him off. There was also copies of wire transfers to the whistleblower continuing to at least last spring. ALthough most likely the monthly stipend to keep quiet is still being paid today.

I was playing hardcore at least 8 hours per day since last monday on ub when the jackpot was 300k. I ended up losing 1k on ub which dropped my roll to about 100 bucks. But I had money on Absolute so I played from there when the jackpot hit and got 5 shares of $150.42 for for being at the same 50c1 limit stakes that odessa99 hit for $750 total. The jackpot hit at 1million48k lol. So, I lost 1k on ub but came out 600 ahead on ap.

I searched odessa99 on ptr and they only played 1k hands. Many comments on their page at ptr about that situation. A lot of these jackpots are hit by noobs who login and play about an hour and then get the magical payout.

I play on jackpot tables when it's over 300k because the rake is a killer, but a 6figure score is worth it as the big winner gets about a third of the total figure. Sadly, if I won I wouldn't be able to withdraw quickly because I have yet to deposit! Stupid rule unlike other sites where I haven't deposited but have withdrawn. I built up my rolls on the sites from private games like hpc so thank you for the games

Yeah I did, and I felt bad for the guy. He was on top of the world one day and then UB cheated him of 1.5-2million and his life went into a downward spiral.

I dont like Micon or Druff's style, but since Makar came them with the evidence I guess we are stuck with them.

I feel so bad for all these people who got robbed and then got 10% or less of the stolen money back. It is so sick.
