Super Sit & Go Madness January 7-9, 2011

Full Tilt Poker
kicks off the New Year in style with their Super Sit & Go Madness. Some of you may be familiar with this promotion from past runs of it. For those who are seeing it for the first time, read all the details. There are many ways to win and not all of them require insane numbers of tables at a time. I particularly like The Super Madness Freeroll and may even try to qualify.

I am not much of a sit & go player myself, but passing up on a $75,000 freeroll really is not in my nature. Sit & Go veterans will like the leaderboard challenges at whatever level they plan to play. Read all the ways to win then get ready to play next weekend as this promotion only runs Friday January 07, 2011 to Sunday January 09, 2011

The Madness is back, and once again it’s super turbo charged!
Take part in Super Sit & Go Madness to win your share of more than $150,000 in cash and prizes – including entry to the $75K Super Madness Freeroll – just by playing your favorite single-table Sit & Gos AND Super Turbo Sit & Gos.

The more Sit & Gos you play during the 48 hours of Madness, the more chances you have to win cash and prizes.

The action kicks off at 16:00 ET on Friday, January 7th, 2011 and runs through 16:00 ET on Sunday, January 9th, 2011. Play any qualifying Sit & Gos to win your cut of Leaderboard prize money, tickets to the Madness Raffle and entry to the Super Madness Freeroll, where you’ll play for your share of a $75K prize pool.

The Method to Our Madness
To participate in Super Sit & Go Madness, look for qualifying Sit & Gos highlighted in green. These include single-table Normal Sit & Gos, Turbo Sit & Gos and Super Turbo Sit & Gos.

Buy-ins for these tournaments are broken into four separate groups, as shown below:

The 48 hours of Super Sit & Go Madness will be divided into 24 two-hour blocks (e.g., 16:00 ET to 18:00 ET, 18:00 ET to 20:00 ET, and so forth) throughout the weekend with a Leaderboard for each of the four groups during every time period. The top seven players in each group will be paid at the end of every two-hour block:

Overall Leaderboards
There is also an Overall Leaderboard for each group over the entire 48-hour period. The Overall Leaderboard is determined by the best performance in one of the two-hour time periods. There is no cumulative calculation with the Overall Leaderboards.

So, if a player in Group A earns 100 points for the 22:00 ET to 00:00 ET period on Friday and then 150 points for the 00:00 ET to 02:00 ET period on Saturday, it's only the 150 points that will be reflected on the Overall Leaderboard.

The top two players in each group's Overall Leaderboard will meet in a $5K Sit & Go Freeroll where the top three places will be paid. The Freeroll will take place the following weekend - Saturday, January 15th, 2011 at 15:05 ET. So even if you put up a high score in one of the two-hour blocks, it pays to keep trying to best your score.

Super Turbo Sit & Gos
We've injected some super into the Madness by including Super Turbo Sit & Gos! Fast and fun, Super Turbo Sit & Gos offer players a unique challenge. Unlike Normal or Turbo Sit & Gos, most Super Turbos feature 300-chip starting stacks – ten times the initial big blind. A nine-handed Super Turbo Sit & Go usually lasts 15 minutes, compared to one hour for a Normal nine-handed Sit & Go.

Please note that Super Turbo Sit & Gos count for two-fifths the amount of points toward Super Sit & Go Madness Leaderboards as Normal Sit & Gos and Turbo Sit & Gos.

The Super Madness Freeroll
Even if you don't make it onto one of the Super Sit & Go Madness Leaderboards, you still have a chance to walk away a big winner with the $75K Super Madness Freeroll.

Taking place on Saturday, January 15th, 2011 at 16:50 ET, earn your entry to this Super Turbo tournament by winning at least three green Sit & Gos during the 48 hours of Super Sit & Go Madness. Once you’ve won three Sit & Gos, you’ll automatically receive a Tournament Ticket for the $75K Super Madness Freeroll, which you can use to register for the tournament.

The Madness Raffle
Because giving away cash just isn't crazy enough, we're going even madder. For every qualifying green Sit & Go that you cash in during Super Sit & Go Madness (finish in the top three in a nine-player Sit & Go or the top two in a six-player Sit & Go), you'll earn one raffle ticket good for entry into a draw for Steps Tournaments tickets and a selection of exclusive gear from the Full Tilt Store.

There will be more than 1,000 prizes given away in the raffle. See the chart below for a full list of prizes:

So if we win 3 $1.25 6 max turbos we can get in the $75K freeroll right?

How about heads up SNGS? Somehow I don't think those count.

If you win any three SNGs highlighted in green over the course of the weekend, then you qualify for the freeroll. No, there are no heads up options (would be too easy to cheat and get in).

Hmm, I just won 3 $1.10 Super turbo 6 maxes (the ones with starting chips 300). They were green games, I made sure of that. It took me 13 tries to win 3 of those games.

Still don't have the ticket yet. Anybody else do this and succeed?
