FeltStars offers Credit Card deposits

FeltStars Poker is currently advertising Visa and Mastercard deposits. They seem to be one of a very few, or maybe even the only site still offering this as a deposit option. They are wise to tell the poker community of their efforts to accept credit card deposits. If successful and sustainable, this move could greatly enhance their standing and player base.

Feltstars Poker resides on the Merge Gaming Network. There are many new guaranteed tournaments with overlays that currently run on this network. they are also running a quite robust points challenge that cash game players will find very attractive. Every third Sunday Feltstars holds their Pro Bounty tournament. Knock out their house pros for big bounties. Knock out more than one and get progressively higher payouts.

Feltstars also boasts an online Sportsbook and Casino for you players seeking a variety of wagering options.

How is it that they are getting around UIGEA?

I know there is a code associated with each CC transaction... are they lying about what they do?

Just doesn't seem like this will work forever.

Has anyone tried it yet with their Netspend card? I'd try, but I already have enough $ to play there.

You're assuming UIGEA is actually working. While some sites have had intermittent problems, overall, there's been almost no effect.

You really need to look at the threads on some other poker forums regarding Feltstars. I won't post a link out of respect to your forum, but you can google search them. They use a cashier that is associated with the fraudsters who run FutureGame/ IGS / Game Tech. Look at the cashier - same as Oddsmaker cashier, and I'm sure you've heard all the OM horror stories.

Personally, I've been able to deposit to Feltstars with Ewalletexpress, and cashout to PIC CLUB with no problems (PIC CLUB takes 50 days to send a check, but that's another story).

Basically if you play at Feltstars you are facing a higher risk than the other reputable merge rooms such as Carbon, PDC, Spin32.

I have seen some of the concerns about the cashier being the same that FutureBet used to use. Most of them are long on fear and short on facts.

I am here to tell you that I requested a check from Feltstars, through their cashier this month. It took them a couple days to process the transaction...two to three days, no more. The transaction was processed July 06, 2010. I received the check today in the mail.

There is a $25 fee for requesting a check. When you request the withdrawal, the page says 12-18 business days for processing. There is a $100 minimum and a $2,000 maximum. I just checked, from the time they processed it until the check was in my mailbox was 14 business days.

You may think the $25 fee is a bit high. In my case I withdrew $1,000 (sick brag). If eWalletXpress was a withdrawal option on that amount, the withdrawal from eWalletXpress to my bank account would have cost me $100. So as long as you are withdrawing $250 or more, the fee is better than or comparable to industry standards.

The above are facts. I used the cashier, I did a withdrawal, I received a check. Feel free to repost this story anywhere, I just would like a link back to this site and post in exchange.

I have failed with every CC I own (2 Visas and a MC). Granted, this is solely through their Cashier, I have yet to get motivated to call support.
