Meet Joe Cada in Las Vegas

PokerStars, the world's largest online poker room, wants to give US Players a chance to meet Joe Cada in Las Vegas. The best part is it is all free.

Simply play in any or all of the daily freerolls January 6-February 12 2010 at 9 pm et. The top 45 in each will get a ticket to Weekly Finals taking place at 17:30 ET on these dates: January 10, 17, 24 & 31, February 7 & 13, 2010. Each will award 18 seats to the Grand Final. The Grand Final takes place at 21:00 ET, February 13, 2010.

The prize package includes flights from any major US airport, five-nights accommodation, a day with Joe Cada, $1,000 spending money and a seat at a live Pokerstars event. Ok, bit of an age difference between me and Cada, dunno how much we would have to chew the fat about, but I would definitely take that airfare, 5 nights and the cash. Handshake and then its time for some poker!

This promotion is only open to US residents. And for those of you unsure who Joe Cada is: Joe Cada hit the big time in November, 2009, when he took down the World Series of Poker* Main Event for $8,546,435.

PStars has been tweaking this promotion, and the info given above, on the web site and on the poker room's game menu are all different. So ya might want to check before ya play. And only 1 person, the winner of the Grand Final at 21:00 ET on Feb. 13, gets to go meet Joe.

What I'm going by (and the games are under Tournaments, Regional):

-- Two Freeroll satellites daily, at 18:00 ET (advances 9 to weekly final) and 21:00 (advances 45). Register 2 hours before start, take 10K players max.
-- Two $1.10 Buy-In satellites daily, at 20:00 and 23:00 (each advancing all who finish in the money, touted as about 1 in 5). Register 3 hours before start, take 4K players max.
-- Weekly Finals at 16:30 ET (a time change over previously announced and even over web page) every Sunday, and also on the Saturday of the Grand Final. Each advance 18.
