Event 7 - $1500 No Limit Holdem

The 7th tournament of this year's WSOP began today, with 2791 players each putting up $1500 to take their shot at earning a bracelet. Though the payouts have not been set, $3.9 million is set to be distributed among the winners.

Currently, among the chip counts that have been taken, Jonathan little leads the field with roughly 30,000 chips. This is a very early estimate, and, since the tournament just started, stay tuned as we get more current and in depth updates.

163 players currently remain in this third No Limit Hold'em event of the WSOP, with Gary Tang, 275,000 chips, leading the way. Qui Nguyen, having just busted Sorel Mizzi, is second in chips, sitting at 240,000 chips. Justin Kuzmicki rounds out the top 3, holding on tight to his 230,000 chips.

Brandon Cantu and Shaun Deep are also rather deep stacked currently, both holding in the area of 100,000 chips. Expect both of them to be using these chips a lot in the coming days.

The prize pool, having been released, pays the top 297 finishers. All the players remaining in the field will double their buyin, winning just over $3200, with the first place finisher taking home a scary $666,000.

Final Table!

9 players have reached the final table in this No Limit Hold'em event (well...I guess 9 always do).

Craig McConville is leading the way with just over 3 million in chips, with Walter Wright a ways behind, sitting on a stack of 2.5 million. Kam Low and James Mcclain are holding strong at the caboose, each sitting with less than 500,000 chips.

Each remaining player has guaranteed himself $80,000 for reaching the final table!

Travis Johnson is the (un)lucky winner of Event #7, netting himself $666,000 and a shiny bracelet!
