My WSOP Sunday

If i get pumped up for some tournament, I usually play poorly. I think the anticipation makes me play when I should be folding.
Today will be different. I am getting personal stuff done and avoiding poker till the proper time. I am expecting nothing, anticipating nothing, and just want top play good, solid poker.

I have many shots at WSOP tickets or money lined up today. Almost too many WSOP things, but I play 3-4 at a time usually anyway. Here is a list of the events I am planning to play today.



The Full Tilt Poker OFC Buyin. This game is also 3pm et. Top 5 players will each receive a bonus prize Full Tilt Poker Tournament Ticket to the 150 Main Event Guarantee. This is a $530 tournament with 150 WSOP Main Event packages. Plus glory for the forum and piles of cash from the prize pool if I can win it.

Carbon Poker $250 twitter freeroll I am playing this as kind of an add on for something to do while I play. This event is at 3:30pm et (14:30 server)

Reefer Poker $1,000 Community Freeroll. This freeroll is at 5:20 pm et (16:20 server)and is held monthly. Though not exactly a WSOP event, it plays Sunday and I won't miss the free money.

Players Only WSOP Freeroll Final. This game plays at 5:30 pm. This is the 4th WSOP Freeroll Final I have qualified for. I hope to actually get past the second hour in one of these some day. The prize for 1st is a $13,000 WSOP Main Event prize package.

Also at 5:30 PM is a Gold Chip Network game. For 2 Gold Cards (5 of diamonds) you can enter a tournament with five WSOP Event #54 prize packages up for grabs. These prizes are worth $2,500. Its a rebuy (hate em), and 6 handed (also hated), but I have the cards and it would be stupid not to take the shot at the prize. My 5's of diamonds are at Players Only so I can run both games at the same time.

Hopefully without any break (means I did well in a 5:30 game) I will play my last WSOP game of the day at 9:30 pm et. This game might be my best statistical shot at a WSOP Main Event ticket. I am talking about the May WSOP4FREE Final at Players Only Poker. At this writing, 170 players will battle for a $13,000 WSOP Main Event prize package. This cost me about 5 hours of playing at special ring games to qualify (I tripled my buyin).

All the links in this message are not a mistake. They link to the promotions that we here at Holdem Poker Chat have been posting for everyone all this spring. I am trying to show how taking advantage of these deals can pan out.

Of all these games I am playing today, my total buyin will be $5.50 for the OFC game on Full Tilt. Of course, I made more than that playing the WSOP4FREE ring games, but the point I am making is you don't need a huge bankroll to go after these things, you just have to have the ambition to take advantage of the opportunities that the poker sites give you.

Out 47th in the OFC buyin. Never a factor in that nutty rebuy for gold cards. I am toast except for my best shot at 9:30 pm

47th in OFC is pretty dmn good, I find those are the hardest trnys...I think so many, and so many TYPES of players, its a tough one.

I feel it is a good thing, and progress as a poker player, that I look upon 47th in an OFC buyin as mostly a failure. I do see the positives, but also expect better
