Good luck alanperc

Although I dont know you all that well yet I wanted to wish you the best of luck. Time is winding down, are you stoked??? I played in southern Indiana a few years back, it was 1/5 of the main event a few days into the series, but it's good experience for you. After driving almost 9 hours I was getting there without much time left before tourney start. Folding the first 2 hands, i have KK on the third hand and make a huge raise because my strategy was just increase chips early with very strong hands. I was reraised and so was he by the kid behind him, we both call the all-in and I'm facing 33 and QQ, ALRIGHT! NOT!!!!!!!!!! Flop comes 344. Talk about road rage on the way home! Whatever happens its like Steele said, all you can do is play your best, but sometimes it just isn't good enough. My only advice that I've gathered from the numerous live tournies that I've played are the basics, keep your composure under pressure, play correctly, and if you get short, DON'T GET DESPERATE!!! Have confidence in knowing that as long as you have chips, you are still a threat. Enjoy yourself and good luck Alan. Take it down!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey man. I really appreciate that post, makes me feel like I have a some support behind me.

Yeah I have been looking forward to this for over 50 days (when I first found out about it) and literally counting down the days. Ive been to Palm Beach Kennel Club a few times, its just over an hour drive for me, and I went last weekend to check out the current tournament and set up, and then bet a few dog races. Its amazing, so many people, so many tables. This is my first real live event (not including home games and one live game I played at a local ale house).

Anyway, I have confidence in my game, that has definitely grown a ton in the last 9 years. Im going to be playing the best poker of my life tomorrow, and prepared to take home the win!

Thanks again for your support, Ill be posting a rail thread a little later today, and will be texting borgo updates tomorrow so he can post them on the thread and keep hpc updated since it will be very difficult for me to log on to hpc from my phone while im there.

LETS GO!!

Best of luck to you Alan. I'm hopeful that we will hear positive results. Just having the opportunity to play will be an experience in itself. I look forward to reading your comments after the tournament.
