I have found that if I sit out at the start for 10-15 minutes and or playing super tight, only playing premium hands, most of the freeroll madness seems to quiet down after that.... of course there will always be bad beats.

As for playing large freerolls like Full Tilt, you really got to ask yourself if its worth playing 6 hours for less than $15. Seems alot easier to save your money and make the minimum deposit. Playing small forum freerolls and buyins were the best way for me to build a bankroll.

I agree too. If you wish to survive you have to play like a rock in the beginning. There are so many maniacs in the beginning of the tourney that call and raise with nothing...
And if they hit they think that they can play poker and go all in every round until they are out a few rounds later...
And then they call it bad luck.

Freerolls

It seems like the first 15 mins of any of them are just reckless abandon, but when you figure out who the B-S'ers are , ya gotta make a stand and try to get a stack built up of of them.Sometimes that doesn't always work though, but you won't win if you don't play the decent hands some of the time.Hell I've been at final tables before with pocket A's,raised em pre-flop, then got re-raised by hands like 2-6,K-9 off, and called and lost. I guess what I'm trying to say is figure out when to play the big hands, and you gotta be able to fold the big cards when they don't hit. Sometimes ya just gotta be able to fold em.

"Americans have played poker throughout history. Playing poker on the internet is simply an example of an American tradition evolving into the 21st century. It is unfathomable that poker, an American pastime and game of skill, should be banned for the millions who enjoy playing responsibly."
