Um, I've always thought pokerforums were made to provoke discussion. If everyone agrees with each other then where's the fun?

We are all here to learn, and the best way to learn is to discuss. And there is nothing to discuss about if everyone just agrees with each other.

caution

yep like the added money tourny idea and also the added bonus from other sites
maybe a little sneaky though win at a fr then run away to other site for bonus
but if your winning $50 i think you should play carefully managing your
small bankroll
for instance no more than a $1 buyin tourny that way you have 50 chances
to increase bankroll
or maybe take a buck into the penny ring tables
just my opinion though
gl turning it to millions or at least a great time

this post is as of a poker forum member, not as a moderator.

poker forums are an outlet of information
not all of it is right.... we need to selectively choose what we accept as right and wrong, there is not ONE WAY to play poker perfectly, that is why we play.
example: slow playing aces, good or bad?

this topic was about "wasting away freeroll winnings"

To get involved in discussion beyond the point of freerolls is not really gonna provide positive information to "wasting away freeroll winnings".

We all play at different buy in limits, some play in many, some strictly play at one buy in. Lets focus on what to do with freeroll winnings. Lets focus on goals, and why some poker players play on buy ins.

The topic starter said he doesn't deposit..... known as a "freeroll whore"

I've not tried multi tabling SNGs. Cash games, no probs - I just play by the numbers, but SnGs I need to concentrate too much on the other players to multi table. Probably why I stick at being an amateur.

Well if I had won 50$ in freerolls i would be very carefull with it ,since the fact that it comes from freerolls mean deposits isnt an option. Also think about all the hours this 50$ represents , im guessing its many(20+).

That puts you in a dilemma because in my experience in the micro/small stakes games gets looser the higher up in the tier you move. I guess it is because people wants the pots all the more. So perhaps cashgames isnt the best way to go ,also since you have made this small roll with freerolls
, then i guess you will be more comfortable with sit and gos.

So since thise 50 represent so many hours and is only backed with the time your willing to put in. i would suggest you use time and play at first at the lowest levels sit and go there is until you double that. It should still be lucrative compared to freerolls.

When you have doubled that (if you do =P) I would suggest maybe move to the next lowest level sit and go. if your on a losing streak move down to lowest if you double then up one tier until its money that means something to you or until you puke from the stakes wagered you deside realy. Note after 25$ on most sites the next level wager is rapidly climbing so more money may be needed to move up.
