2 Months. 2 Million Feeling left out of the Poker frenzy, G4 a network that focuses mostly on Video Gaming, has announced a new poker reality show. Two Months. Two Million, or 2M2MM will begin airing on G4 August 16th at 9 pm.
The show will follow four internet poker specialists as they live in a Las Vegas mansion and try to make $2 million in 2 months playing online poker. The four players are all in their early twenties, and my guess is there will be more focus on the lifestyle than the actual screenshots of poker.
Jason “pr1nnyraid” Rosenkrantz, Brian “Flawless_Victory” Roberts, Emil “whitelime” Patel, and Dani “Ansky” Stern are the four. They are using their own bankrolls in the TV show. The rules of the challenge are a bit sketchy. They will be using their own money and are trying to collectively make $2 million over 2 months. No word on how much of their own roll they can use or even have.
G4 has videos up on their site. There are bios of the players, a trailer, a mansion tour, oh and playboy playmates visiting the mansion.
G4 says that they fully researched their legal liability with airing a show about online poker play and felt comfortable that they were not opening themselves to any legal action. Well, it is based in Nevada, but the US Attorney's office in southern New York has reached outside its jurisdiction in the past. A TV show might just be too tempting for them to pass up.
