The 2009 WSOP November Nine

With the elimination of Jordan Smith in 10th place when his pocket Aces lost to trip 8's the 2009 WSOP November Nine is set. As if winning two bracelets this year wasn't enough, my pick to win the Main Event, Full Tilt Poker Pro Phil Ivey has made the November Nine making this the most anticipated final table in recent history. Pokerstars sponsored player Darvin Moon is the chipleader for the next few months with an estimated 59,770,000 chips. We'll post the exact numbers when they become available. Here are the players:

Seat 1: Darvin Moon
Seat 2: James Akenhead
Seat 3: Phil Ivey
Seat 4: Kevin Schaffel
Seat 5: Steven Begleiter
Seat 6: Eric Buchman
Seat 7: Joe Cada
Seat 8: Antoine Saout
Seat 9: Jeff Shulman

I bet Ivey is already the biggest winner of the WSOP. Even if he busts 9th he will still have made more money then the winner because of all the sidebets he made :D

And I read that Moon doesnt play online, he only plays live poker.

I bet there's a line outside his house with people trying to buy out of their bets. According to one report Tom 'durrrr' Dwan stands to lose a million dollars should Ivey win the bracelet. Keep in mind that that's just one prop bet. I'm sure Ivey has several.

On Tuesday night Andy Bloch was trying in desperation to buy out of an Ivey prop bet he had with Mike Matasow. Bloch offered 10k for the buyout, but Mike said he wouldn't take less than 30k. They did finally come up with an agreement yesterday but the final numbers aren't known at this time.

So yes, Ivey probably has people showing up at his doorstep with garbage bags full of cash to buy out of the massive prop bets.

He hasn't been doing too well lately in the main event but I had a feeling this year he was going to go far. Ivey's going to make a ton on side bets. I heard he even had some side bets for making the final table and not just winning.

I know that a UK bookmaker offered 75:1 for Ivey just to make the final table.

I heard Ivey made something like 16 million in side bets. I'm not sure if that's true but it's possible. It's crazy.

Ivey lost a big amount of the money he made from the bracelet sidebets in 50k HORSE sidebets.
