NBC is trying to bring poker into prime time with a new poker-based gameshow called Face The Ace. Hosted by Steve Schirripa formerly of the Sopranos cast, the show will feature amateur poker players competing against professionals heads-up.
Contestants have to pick a door, behind which is a poker pro. They play heads-up and if the contestant wins he can take the first round money and bail, or play another pro for more prize money. The game can only go to three rounds. If a contestant can beat all three pros, they can potentially win $1 million.
Full Tilt is running freerolls through their .net site, but not to qualify for the show, oh no! This is a gameshow, and entertainment is key. You can qualify on Full Tilt to get an
audition for the show with the producers. My guess is that you ugly or boring people are kinda out of luck. But still, us less than attractive types could still win a prize pack and go hang out in Vegas on the show's dime. The prize details:
Quote:
Win a Face the Ace prize package and receive airfare for you and a guest to and from Las Vegas, five-star hotel accommodations at the Golden Nugget, $500 in spending money and an audition with the show’s producers for the opportunity to appear on Face the Ace.
You will spend 5 days and 4 nights in Las Vegas. While there you will be one of a very select few qualifiers that will have the opportunity to audition. If you are selected to appear on the show, you’ll play against the Full Tilt Poker Pros for $1,000,000!

So good luck everyone.
