NBC Cuts National Heads-Up Poker Championship

I actually liked this show better than the others mentioned. I still enjoy the WPT final tables. I hope they don't cancel it as well. I think the media is going to be cutting down on poker, we will see how much the WSOP final is going to go over with the fans this year.

i liked it as well. It was a different form of poker that wasn't offered much anywhere else on tv. That's one of the reason why i have always enjoyed High Stakes Poker. It wasn't the same ol all in fest like WPT finals can often be. I would hope that HSP was to continue and actually become better now that there's not a patch-war with certain players unable to play. Unfortunetlly i dunno if that will be the case because often these shows rely on sponsors(i.e. poker sites) to make money.

As for the WSOP final,i believe it won't be effected all that much when it comes to people watching and enjoying it. With everything poker, the tv shows have evolved. It once was just an all-in fest and all about the characters. But now i've noticed that with the "almost live" coverage we have now. It's more about the strategy which i enjoy. I'd much rather listen/watch PROS talk about why a certain player may have played a certain hand that way. I'd much rather hear that than to hear how many times some guy has gotten divorsed and making random comments about how people look.
