Roy Winston Wins the 2007 Borgata Poker Open

Roy Winston won the WPT Borgata Poker Classic, earning $1,575,280, a silver watch, and entry into the $25,000 buy-in season VI WPT World Championship in April, 2008.

Winston outplayed some of the best players in the game, including Mike ?The Mouth? Matusow, Eugene Todd (?Bro?), and Haralabos Voulgaris.

Shortly after final table play began, Winston, the chipleader called Mike Matasow's allin with Ad 7d vs Matasow's As Qs with a Ah Qd 4d flop. The turn card was a 2d and the river a Kd for an Ace Hgh flush and sent Matasow to the rail early. From then on it was smooth sailing for the medical doctor.
