Doyle Brunson Once Again Named Most Influential Player in Poker

Poker buffs from the US and across the globe will have the chance to battle head-on against poker’s biggest giant in the DoylesRoom.com Celebrity Bounty Poker Tournament.

The Oscars may have ended, but the real accolades have just begun. Now that the red carpets are rolled up and the Hollywood spotlights have dimmed for another year, Bluff Magazine is handing out its own honors with the release of the coveted 2008 Poker Power 20.

Compiled by the esteemed Bluff staff, along with the help of online poker community experts, this year’s rendition of the Power Poker 20 includes not only the game’s most illustrious players among its ranks, but also two television networks, authoritative websites, renowned columnists, leading live tournaments, and paramount executives whose impact on the world of poker cannot be overlooked. Nevertheless, only one player could take top honors and be celebrated as the most influential player in the game today: Doyle Brunson.

“Doyle is, bar none, the most recognizable name in all of poker,” proclaims Bluff Magazine in their February issue. “The ‘Godfather of Poker’ has been there from day one of the World Series of Poker and, from the looks of it, he is not going anywhere soon.”

Having previously collected top honors in the 2006 edition of the Poker Power 20, Doyle Brunson continues to be a leading force, even as the world of online poker evolves rapidly. Disputing Brunson’s supremacy is impossible, especially since Doyle’s Room, the only online poker destination to proudly bear his name, recently returned to the American market.

On Wednesday, February 27th at 9:30 pm ET, poker buffs from the US and across the globe will have the chance to battle head-on against poker’s biggest giant in the DoylesRoom.com Celebrity Bounty Poker Tournament.

For a $27.50 buy-in, online poker players can compete in this fast action multi-table Texas Hold’em elimination tournament featuring not only the legendary Doyle Brunson, but also an all-star cast of A-list Hollywood celebrities and top ranked online players. Poker enthusiasts can earn a princely $25,000 for eliminating three key bounties, as well as sizable $5,000 and $500 consolation prizes, while battling Jamie-Lynn Sigler (best known as Tony Soprano’s captivating daughter, Meadow), the enchanting Nicky Hilton, “The Mad Genius of Poker” Mike Caro, Jim "P0KERPR033" Campbell, Alex “AJKHoosier1” Kamberis, and Doyle Brunson himself.

First-time Bounty Tournament players can reap rewards without the risk with a generous 100% rebate of their buy-in and fees. With the chance to win major cash while playing for free against poker and Hollywood superstars, the DoylesRoom.com Celebrity Bounty Poker Tournament will sell out.

Registration for the online Texas Hold’em poker event of season is winding up at Doyles Room
