| Kentucky will Appeal to the State Supreme Court
Governor Beshear did not take that long to revise the case and decide that Kentucky would be appealing to the State Supreme Court. It seems like the case involving the seizure of 141 domain names remains in the battlefield. As it was previously reported the Kentucky Court of Appeals had ruled that the State of Kentucky did not have the jurisdiction to seize the domains. Governor Beshear was very disappointed and said he would take some time to decide if they would appeal to the Supreme Court. Only two days later he has already made a decision and submitted a notice of appeal. The notice of appeal that was filed yesterday reads, “Notice is hereby given that the Respondent, Commonwealth of Kentucky ex rel. J. Michael Brown, Secretary, Justice and Public Safety Cabinet, by and through counsel, hereby appeals the January 20, 2009 Order Granting Petition for Writ of Prohibition.” iMEGA has argued that the State’s Attorney General, not Brown, should be at the forefront of the legal proceedings. We will keep updates on this case and hopefully the battle will end on poker's side. For now, let's just be happy that the domains cannot be seized until the next Court ruling. Personally, I am quite frustrated and feel bad for players from Kentucky as it seems that online gambling is on and off in their State. If someone can answer me this question, do you think Governor Beshear was victim of some very very bad beat and he now seriously dislikes poker? Because he just seems to not be willing to let go on this so there must be something personal. :D |

I finally got on, realized I had only .92 cents and the lowest sit'n'go they had was a dollar. So I played in my first ring game and ended up walking away with 3.50. This site is back to being my favorite site.:D
