Poker Players Accept Tom 'Durrrr' Dwan's Challenge

Earlier this week, Durrrr threw a challenge by saying he would put doen $1.5 mill to any challenger's $500,000 in games at four tables played simultaneously, heads-up at $200/$400 stakes. The minimum number of hands to be played against each contender is 50,000 and if by the end of the battle the challenger is even $1 more than when he started he takes Dwan's $1.5 mill and if Durrrr wins he gets to keep the contendant's $500,000. This is quite a confident move by Tom 'Durrrr' Dwan and quite a way to start the year.

In Dwan's words “I’m making this heads-up challenge to the world. Anyone can accept. Four tables, minimum of $200/$400, and I’ll put up $1.5 million to their $500,000. We play 50,000 hands minimum and if they end up a dollar after rake they keep the side money or whatever. So basically, if you and I played and you won a dollar, you would get my $1.5 million and if I won a dollar I would win your $500,000. So I’m giving a million dollars free if anyone thinks they can do it.”

According to Poker Road Radio Phil Ivey, David Benyamine, Barry Greenstein and Patrik Antonius have all accepted the $1.5 mill challenge thrown this week by well-known online poker player Tom 'Durrrr' Dwan. These titans have faced each other before at the Full Tilt's table and have played some exciting hands there so prepare for an epic battle.

Wow, Durrr can lose a lot of money here.

durr has some conditions however:
Quote:
1) 200-400min (nl/plo obv)
2) can change tables anytime eff stacks are >250bb
3) have to reload when stacks are <75bb
4) $$ won in the challenge is kept obv (if i win 750k in poker, i get that PLUS your 500k- if i lose 750k in poker you get 2.25m total).
5) same stakes the whole time
6) not open to phil galfond

The guy's that have accepted are some pretty good players and I'd be worried a little if I was him. Those guys played alot of cards and are well known to be the poker studs. I would watch if its on tv.

He set a 50.000 hands minimum so if 4 players accept he will have to play 200.000 hands. Thats a lot of hands especially at these high stakes.

I don't think Tom can do it. And I really don't hope he can. I don't like he's playing style. I've seen him gone fishing to many times

what is up with all the hate to dwan? i mean, i recognize he does look a bit dodgy and slightly weird but he was in the top 10 winners of the year at full tilt and has proved to be a great poker player. I do think he can do this and Ill try to get more info on where to watch this.
