Shannon Elizabeth Joins CarbonPoker

Carbon Poker has announced the addition of Shannon Elizabeth to the Carbon Poker Family. Shannon will be representing Carbon Poker in live tournaments. Ms. Elizabeth will also be playing against you, the player, on Carbon Poker. She is also supposed to be contributing to the Carbon Poker blog as well.

This is a big deal for Carbon Poker. The flagship site of the Merge Gaming Network has never before tried to hire celebrities or professional poker players to represent them. This move should be seen as the Merge Network and Carbon Poker moving forward and trying to grow into a major player on the online poker scene. The first steps were taken with a totally revamped tournament schedule with many attractive guaranteed tournaments. Many of these tournaments sport some hefty overlays. The software has always been innovative with their playful smileys and the hand strength prominently displayed, yet they seemed to founder in the lower echelon because of a terrible tournament schedule. Well, that has changed and now with the addition of Shannon Elizabeth, Carbon Poker seems ready to attract more players and really push to bring the Merge Network into the limelight.

Shannon got second in the Ante Up for Africa charity event. She lost to Phil Gordon. Jerome Bettis, former Steeler was 6th.
