Phil Laak to attempt a world record

Phil "The Unabomber" Laak will be attempting to break a world record. On June 2, 2010 "The Unabomber" will be sitting down at a poker table at Bellagio Poker Room in Las Vegas. He will then attempt to play poker for more than 78 straight hours.

Paul Zimber currently holds the world record of 78 straight hours of playing poker. Which he set back in 2009.

Phil "The Unabomber" Laak is known for many things. The way he goes into hiding at the table, ie sunglasses and hoody and his table banter. His sometimes outragous prop bets. Phil Laak and Antonia Esfandiari star in their own series "I Bet You". He is also a regular player at TV poker events.

Phil has committed to donating half of all the money he wins to Camp Sunshine. Which is an organization that provides respite, support, joy and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families through various stages of a child’s illness. The year-round program is free of charge to all families.


We wish him good luck in his attempt and hope he will succeed.

The stakes will be $10/$20. He stated he is doing this amount so that nearly anyone could play him during his world record attempt.

He is crazy enough to do it and beat the record. Best of luck to him. He's young enough that he will re-coop. I don't think he does much sleeping anyways. lol
