PokerStars releases EPT Season 7 schedule

The European Poker Tour (EPT) has released their schedule for season 7. Some old favorites and some new locations are represented. EPT is a creation of Pokerstars and they are the exclusive place for satellites to EPT events. The schedule is not complete, and features some missing dates and venues.

Pokerstars kicks off EPT season 7 in Estonia at the Swissotel located in Tallinn. Last year PopkerStars held Pokerstars Baltic Festival there and liked the experience so much it has been added as an EPT feature destination. Of course the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure at the Atlantis Resort is also on the list. Other returning events include EPT Snowfest at the Saalbach-Hinterglemm resort in Austria, For the golf nut there is Vilamoura in Portugal as well.

John Duthie, CEO and EPT Founder, released this statement: “The EPT just gets bigger and better every season and it shows the passion and enthusiasm players feel for our events. Season 6 had a thousand more players than in Season 5 and we expect the numbers to keep on growing. The prize pool last season was well over €56 million - a €4 million increase on the previous year. Side events also proved a major attraction in Season 6 and we expect participation in these to increase even more next season.”

Of course San Remo, The Festival of Poker in London, and Prague also make their return. What seems conspicuous in its absence, or at least its not being finalized, it the championship is not set yet. Traditionally this event is in Monte Carlo. One has to wonder if Pokerstars is planning a move out of that venue. We shall have to wait and see what develops on that front.
