Bodog poker pro David Williams recently became the winner of the WPT Championship. He played against Eric Baldwin in heads-up play and came out victorious cashing for $1.53 million.
In the defining hand Williams raised to 500,000 and Baldwin pushed all the money in for 765,000. Baldwin expected to double up and take the chip lead but instead Williams made the call with a pair of deuces against Baldwin's As 5s.
The flop ran A 7 6, giving Baldwin good expectations but the turn brought a 2 to seal the player's destiny and gave Williams the win. This is William's most noticeable win in his career cash-wise, he also holds a WSOP bracelet from 2006 and his total tournament cashed are $7.9 million.
