Full Tilt Poker Pro Jeff Madsen seems to be really into prop bets these days. If you remember, we reported earlier how he lost a prop bet and the payout involved him getting a tattoo of Gavin Smith's face somewhere on his body.
Well, this time the prop bet is not less strange. Madsen has agreed to move to Israel for six weeks before the WSOP starts without any means of contacting his friends and/or family.
"Just accepted a sick prop bet: I have to move to Israel until the World Series, no outside contact with friends, no cell phone, etc. 50k bet," Madsen posted on Twitter last week.
Some people thought this was an April Fools joke but he is actually serious about this. "It came up that I needed some extra money. I agreed do a bet where I’d move to another country," Madsen explained. The bet was made with businessman "Manny B." whom he met at a charity tournament.
Madsen's destination will be Tel Aviv, which in my opinion is not much of a challenge but more like a vacation. "I don’t know how much poker I’ll be playing, so I’ll be focused and can take time off before the grind of the WSOP. It’ll probably be good for me," Madsen said.
