With 57 events in this year’s WSOP, why are so many online poker players who win a seat being forced to play in the Main Event? DoylesRoom.com management asked themselves that very question. Not satisfied with the answer, they decided to award players at DoylesRoom.com with a virtual blank check instead of a Main Event seat. The only online poker site to bear the legendary Doyle Brunson name will award $12,500 and $2,500 prize packages that include a VIP Vegas experience and cash which players can use to buy into any WSOP event of their choice.

Maxwell says that with a Main Event field numbering in the upper thousands year after year, a lot of online poker players look to the smaller events for a better shot at winning a bracelet. Even if someone at DoylesRoom wins a $12,500 prize package, they can use the money to buy into a number of smaller events. Or, if they like, they can push it all into the Main Event. It’s completely their call.

DoylesRoom will hold a weekly Super Satellite at 9pm ET every Sunday. The $350+24 tournament will award the winner(s) with $12,500 in cash. Qualifiers are available from as low as $3+0.30. Players can also purchase Step tickets starting at just $1.10+0.10 for the chance to win $2,500 in cash. There are five Steps to the WSOP Step series.
