| Ivey vs. Dwan on SideBet at the PCA
We recently heard that two of the biggest professional poker players Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan engaged in a sidebet on Day 1B at the PCA. According to our source (Matthew Showell from PokerListings) they crossbooked 50%. This means that if one of them manages to cash for $100k, then the other player has to pay an equal amount (500% of $100k = $50k so you would get $100k in the end). Currently this is nothing but bad news for Tom Dwan and quite a start of the year!! (Maybe it has become a habit of him to lose massive amounts of money at the beginning of every year?). Dwan busted out really early and Ivey still finds himself in with a 116k stack. Ivey has been playing well and if he was to make as far as he did in the WSOP this could turn out to be quite expensive from Dwan.          |
