Sadly, WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack has announced that he is leaving his spot. “I’ve made the decision after four years of successfully leading the WSOP as a global sports and entertainment property,” he said. “Today is my last day. Friday the 13th.”
Jeffrey Pollack has been a great WSOP Commissioner since 2005 and has handled major changes in the World Series such as the WSOP Europe, the "globalization" of the WSOP, the Players Advisory Council and the Ante Up for Africa.
Certainly, Pollack does not leave empty handed, “I’ve achieved everything I set out to do and more" he said. And also a lot of sports companies would like to have him. The WSOP has not announced a search for a new Commissioner.
Even though Pollack has never played a poker tournament in his life he said he might play the Main Event next year. Thank for four great years and good luck in the future!
