Aaron Gustavson Takes EPT Down Beating 2008 WSOP Champ Peter Eastgate

The EPT's final table was played out yesterday and everyone expected they would see Peter Eastgate play hard for the title.

Eastgate started heads-up play with the second largest stack and Aaron Gustavson had the largest with a 2:1 advantage. Gustavson managed to gain a 3:1 advantage on the first hand when he forced Eastgate to fold with a check-raise on the river.

Heads-up play did not last very long and the final hand came quickly. Eastgate started with a 350k bet and Gustavson raised to 900k. Eastgate decided to go all-in for about 5 mill and Gustavson called. Eastgate was horrified when he saw his A9 running against his opponent0s AQ.

The board was blank as no one caught anything and Gustavson was crowned champion taking the GBP 850,000 first prize.
