Barry Shulman wins 2009 WSOPE Main Event

CardPlayer Magazine publisher Barry Shulman battled back against team PokerStars pro Daniel Negreanu to capture the World Series of Poker Europe Main event gold bracelet. Negreanu had the chip lead heading into heads-up play but the wily older Shulman kept at it and emerged victorious.

The WSOPE Main event final table may just have been one of the toughest major event final tables ever. This final table featured six WSOP bracelet winners as well as two members of this years WSOP Main Event November 9.

It has been a good poker year for the Shulman family. Barry Shulman takes down the WSOPE Main Event and Jeff Shulman, his son, is a member of the November 9, the final table of the 2009 WSOP Main Event to be played in November.

This WSOPE Main Event saw 334 players put up the £10,000 buyin. Thirty-six of them cashed at least £21,142.
