On September 6th 307,016 players sat at 42,816 tables at
Pokerstars. What this mad number meant for the largest online poker room in the world was breaking their own record for the most players hosted by an online poker room.
The previous record was also held by
PokerStars when they reported 100,000 players back in July but now they broke that record by a large amount of players.
The running of the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) probably contributed a lot to the effect, the Guiness Book of World Records verified the information on September 6th, which was when the WCOOP ran three of its major events and a lot of satellite tournaments for the upcoming ones.
This new record can only be a reflection of the quality of the events and games at
Pokerstars which is also a speaker for them being the largest poker room in the world. Congratulations to
Pokerstars on this new accomplishment which will probably stand for a long time, if not broken by them again.
