| Guy Laliberte Goes to Space
Cirque du Soleil owner, billionaire Guy Laliberte has achieved one of his most extreme desires. He became the first clown in space.
Literally, Laliberte was wearing a clown suit and a red nose when he was shot to the outer space in a Soyuz spacecraft. He was accompanied by astronaut Jeffrey Williams and cosmonaut Maxim Surayev, both of them and the rest of the crew shared the spirit and also wore red noses.
Laliberte will spend 12 days in the international space station with the crew. He decided to call this experience the 'Poetic Social Mission in Space.' He wants to raise awareness of water-related issues and promote his charity 'ONE DROP', the slogan is "Water for all, all for water".
Guy Laliberte is known as a big fish in the poker felt, he has "dropped" almost $30 million at the high stakes tables which is about how much he paid for the space trip.
