Last weekend, Full Tilt was host to the highest No-Limit Hold'em stakes ever. The pots were record breaking 4 times, and all of it happened in one day. The lucky guys were Durrrr, Juanda, Ivey and Urindanger, the last one took down the largest online No-Limit Hold'em pot.
The action happened at the "RailHeaven" and "GusHeaven" tables at Full Tilt. Last September, "patatino" took down the largest No-Limit Hold'em pot ever worth $610,000 but it did not last long because just a month and a bit later his record was broken.
The first record setting pot was taken by durrrr who beat LarsLuzak with two pairs AdAc 9d9c and left him with a missed straight, taking the $617,698 pot. Right after this hand was played John Juanda took a pot of $687,622 against Durrrr. Durrrr went all-in with $338,503 and Juanda called. Durrrr felt confident with his pocket Aces against Juanda's pocket Kings; the flop and the turn were irrelevant but Juanda got his third King on the river and took the whole pot.
The third high stake of the day was played three minutes later by Phil Ivey against Juanda and Durrrr. Durrrr was all-in with his remaining $1,967.
Ivey raised and Juanda re-raised to $54,370 and Ivey called. The flop was Ac 5s 10s, Ivey checked and Juanda led out to $112,207. Ivey then moved all-in for $175,201 more and Juanda called. The turn and the river did nt help Juanda with Ks 8s for the flush draw and Ivey took the pot with pocket tens that were flopped set.
The last and largest pot of the day and of online NL Hold'em history was battled by Urindanger "elmariachimacho" and Durrrr. Urindanger raised to $3,000 to go and "elmariachimacho" called, Durrrr raised to $16,300 and Gus Hansen folded then Urindanger re-raised to $45,000, "elmariachimacho" folded and Durrrr called. The flop was 5c 9h 4h, Durrrr checked and Urindanger bet $52,700, Durrrr raised to $139,500 and in response Urindanger moved all-in for $314,970. Durrrr called with pocket Kings against Urindanger's pocket Aces. The turn and the river did not help Durrrr and Urindanger took the pot and now holds the record for the highest online NL Hold'em pot, beating September's pot and the other four played aearlier that day.
For us mortals it may seem like a lot of money, but for them it is just one more day at the tables.
