The WCOOP at
Pokerstars gave a lot of players the chance to make some serious money. The Main Event of the series concluded a few days ago and it was Ukraninian poker pro Yevgeniy 'Jovial Gent' Timoshenko who took it down.
The Main Event attracted over 2,000 players and when it came to the final table Timoshenko was second in chips. This was due to his "agreement" with Daniel Kelly to take on all the short-stacked players and both ended up as the final table chip leaders.
Elimination went on quite fast and in a few hours we were witnessing the battle between the final four players. Timoshenko eventually eliminated Kelly in 4th position and he took his money prize plus the "Player of the Series" title which awarded him with a trip to the
Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure.
'reddeevil' hit the rail in third position leaing Timoshenko against 'Udon Wannit'. On the final hand, the flop ran Kc 8h 6s, and the money went in. Udon Wannit showed 6c 5c, but he was in bad shape to Timoshenko’s Kd 6d for two pair. The turn and river came 3s and 4c and Timoshenko was declared champion.
