| Kentucky Gambling Verdict to be Released Today
The Kentucky Gambling Verdict is a ruling that will decide whether if several poker websites will be quarantined and not used in Governor Steve Beshear's state, Kentucky, or if the websites will be permitted there. It has been anxiously awaited by everyone involved, from lawyers to board members, to players and fans. Beshear's statement appeared in the Murray Ledger newspaper: “We allow certain types of gambling in the state and the way we allow it is that we strictly control it -strictly regulate it - and we collect tax revenue off of it. We want to make sure that the games are fair.” The verdict that will affect the poker world will be released today, however the how and when are still unknown but Judge Thomas Windgate is scheduled to give the final decision today. 141 domain names, including names like Full Tilt Poker, BodogLife, Pokerstars, and DoylesRoom are involved in the case that defends the "Justice and Public Safety Cabinet of the Commonwealth of Kentucky". Nobody knows what to expect to hear today from Judge Thomas Windgate but if the verdict happened to be pronounced against the websites there has already been some dissent expressed. The Director of Policy and Communications for the BlueGrass Institute, Jim Waters, expressed his thought on the matter in an opinion statement in the Georgetown News Graphic Newspaper that said: “We better not gamble our freedom away by allowing the government to choose what Web sites we access - even for activities some find objectionable but that don’t harm others. If we allow this, it won’t be long before it will be hard to differentiate our capital from Beijing.” However, some other citizens consider gambling as a bad habit and for some religions it is sinful so they hope that the websites will be banned from Kentucky. Governor Beshear also stated that he would fight the ruling in appeal if the Judge ruled against his seizure order. There will be a full report on the final verdict as soon as it is released, so stay with us to find out more about this ruling.

| Computer Issues cause delay in Kentucky case
There was no decision today to determine if some 141 online gambling domains are to be seized by the commonwealth of Kentucky. Computer issues have caused delays at the Franklin County Courthouse. Much of the Internet gambling sector awaited news all day Wednesday after circuit court Judge Thomas Wingate determined he would need until October 15 to render a decision. A decision is expected as soon as Thursday morning.
