PartyPoker Still Plans to Re-Enter the US Market

As it seems that the US online poker licenses might only be granted to domestic operators, IF the Government repeals the UIGEA, PartyGaming's executives still have their gingers crossed for a possible come back into the US,

Recently, Senator Robert Menendez introduces the Internet Poker and Games of Skill Regulation, Consumer Protection and Enforcement Act. This contains a clause that in practice can be considered a protectionist measure as it allows the US to deny licenses to overseas operators.

In the past, other pro-online poker regulation bills have had similar clauses. PartyGaming is not willing to give uo yet, a spokesman for the company said the following “What’s encouraging is that America is looking to re-open the market, and we are going to look at ways to re-enter that market."
