I really dont play many turbos, so i was wondering if anyone had any tips for me. I played a couple turbo satellites yesterday trying to get into the $1 turbo takedown on Pstars and all I saw was overbetting and all-in commandos. Even when I had KK, 5 people at my table went all-in and of course the person with 5-9 suited wins hitting runner runner for a boat. Any advice would be great,...thnx ![]()

My advice is "dont play them." Seriously. Turbos are horrible for your solid game playing strategy. Unless you have the ability to shift styles easily, you will find that your crappy "turbo" style will intrude on your regular game.....and that will only spell disaster. But then, there are satellites set up as turbo, so in those cases....being overly aggressive with monster hands is the best strategy. And stay out of multi-player pots, even with monsters.....too big of likelihood for an outdraw.

I only play turbo S&G (I hardly play any s&g's but if i play one, it is a turbo) and turbo's have more 'luck' involved. People are more likely to push, so it is harder to make plays. But it can be good for your pokermath since you see a lot of allins. Coinflips, everything.
